NEW BEGINNINGS AT INDIANA STANDARDBRED SALES COMPANY
Indiana Standardbred Sale is pleased to announce the new aspects of our sale.

NEW MANAGEMENT
The sale is under 100% new management.  Kevin Mack is now the manager of the yearling sale. Kevin has been involved in the Standardbred industry for 46 years and has been a lifetime resident of Indiana.

Because Kevin is totally committed to providing the breeders/consignors with a sale in their best interest, he spoke to several breeders to get their input on ways to improve the sale. As a result, the sale company has the following new beginnings;

1. EARLIER SALE DATE
Breeders/consignors would like to sell the yearlings earlier to decrease their costs in feeding and boarding, as well as minimize the risk for yearlings to get injured before the sale. As a result, our sale will be the weekend of September 24-25th 2010. If an additional weekend is needed, we will also sell yearlings the weekend of Oct. 1-2nd  2010.

2. REWARD PROGRAMS
Programs that would reward breeders/consignors for their support. These programs would include discounts on commission charges based on price of yearling sold, number of yearlings sold, etc.

3. NEW LOCATION
Many consignors prefer the new location in the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. So we will have our sale at this location. This larger facility will allow us to sell all the yearlings entered. As a result, consignors won’t have to split up their consignments.

4. ONE SALE COMPANY
Many breeders feel it is in their best interest to have one sale by one sale company. Our feeling was that if the two sale companies would merge it should be a 50-50 partnership. However after contacting the other sale company, merging in this manner could not be agreed upon. Therefore, we will continue our sale in the same high quality fashion in 2010.

5. ACCESSIBILITY
It is very important that the sales manager is accessible to all consignors. Kevin Mack encourages anyone with any suggestions, questions or concerns to contact him.  He truly wants to work with you and appreciates your input. Please call him, you are important to us!

6.  LOWER ENTRY FEES
This was not requested by breeders/consignors, but the sale company wants to help you during these tough economic times.

Indiana Standardbred Sales Co. since it began several years ago has ALWAYS  provided its consignors with the highest sales average in Indiana. Including the 2009 sale, which was quite an accomplishment, since we were competing with the Lexington Sale, which had moved their sale dates to the same time. To ensure that we would not be competing with any other major sale in 2010, we set our sale dates after the other sale dates had been finalized.

We want the breeders/consignors to know we heard your concerns and have taken the action needed to provide you with the quality sale you deserve. We appreciate your support and will continue to strive to provide the BEST sale, so your yearling is given the opportunity to bring the most money possible.

We are now taking entries for our sale the weekend of Sept 24- 25th 2010.  We can also sell the additional weekend of Oct. 1-2nd 2010 in order to accommodate your yearlings if needed. All yearlings will be sold in the West Pavilion at the Indiana State Fairgrounds.

American Beach, a colt from the first crop of Allamerican Captor topped all yearlings sold during Indiana Standardbred Sale Company's 2009 Select Sale, held Saturday, October 10 at the Indiana State Fairgrounds. Consigned by Parkstone Farm, the colt was purchased by Dojea Stables of Wolcottville, Ind.

A total of 120 yearling were sold Saturday for a gross of $921,950, good for a sale average of $7,683. The sale posted a total increase of just over 10 percent compared with 2008, when 115 yearlings averaged $6,970.

Two yearlings were hammered down for $28,000 apiece, both purchased by Bobby Brower, who served as agent. Chipsswingingstar, from the first crop of Cincinnati Kid out of Chip's Dame, was consigned by Ernest Graber. The colt is a brother to First Notable Chip. Brower also signed the ticket on Deliteful Debbie, a full sister to Jolly Jessica, a mare he campaigned to an Indiana Sires Stakes championship.
